A more developed biography will appear here soon.
For now, you should know I am a journalist with a passion for covering government and politics. I
believe effective storytelling, at its best, can inspire people to participate in their communities.
I grew up in Oregon, traveled extensively compared to some, and hardly at all compared to others.
I live in Washington, D.C., where I recently completed a Congressional journalism fellowship through the American Political
Science Association and currently report and produce at various Washington news outlets.
I've worked in Topeka, Kansas, El Paso, Texas, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Yakima, Washington, and I'd
live in three of those four places again by choice.
Currently, I am researching for a project about the Japanese-American experience in the interior West during
World War II. If you know anybody who had family in the Santa Fe Internment Camp during that time, I'd like to hear
from them.
Thanks for visiting.
